Gouda cheese is a classic and is a symbol of the Dutch cheese tradition. It is therefore not surprising that our Veenland Gouda cheese has an important place in our family business. Our Goudse is available in a large range of tasteful variants, each with its own character, mouthfeel and unique experience.

Gouda grass cheese-taste spring in its purest form!
This seasonal delicacy is made from the first milk that cows give when they go out into the pasture in spring. The fresh grass makes the milk wonderfully creamy. The grass cheese has a silky texture with a full light sweet taste that melts away on your tongue. Veenland Graskaas is available from the end of May for a short time.

Farm cheese: artisan made on the farm
Our farm cheese is made on the farm from non-skimmed milk. This creamy milk is thermized, that is, briefly and mildly heated. This is an intermediate step between raw milk and pasteurized milk. The thermised milk thus forms the perfect basis for our farm cheeses: an artisanal cheese with a rich, full flavour.
You can recognize Real Farm Cheese by The Farm Dairy quality mark. This guarantees the artisanal method. The cheese is made on the farm itself from the thermised non-skimmed milk from our own cows.

Farmer cheese: artisanal made from raw milk
Our farmer cheese is made with love and craftsmanship on the farm from raw milk. The milk is not heated and not skimmed. The full creamy milk gives farmer's cheese its characteristic taste. Making farm cheese is a craft. When making the cheese, a lot is done by hand. The slight differences in this process make each farmer's cheese unique in taste.
The artisanal method is officially recognized by the European Union as a guaranteed traditional specialty (GTS). This means that the product and the production process are protected. In this way, the quality of farmer's cheese is maintained, from stable to shelf and from plate to drinks shelf.

Nettle cheese is one of the oldest types of herbal cheese. For the Peatland Nettle cheese, we only use the young tips of the nettle leaf. In our cheese dairy, these are mixed with Dutch cow's milk. The beautiful blue veins and the characteristic taste of our goat cheese are created thanks to a (very tasty) fungus: Penicillium roqueforti.
